Location

Gorey Business Park is situated on the outskirts of Gorey town, an ideal location half-way between Dublin and Waterford, serving all major ports and airports by an excellent infrastructure. Located on the N11 the town is connected to the national railway network linking Rosslare Europort to Dublin. Gorey is an hour’s drive from Dublin and with the problems of finding housing in Dublin many people have bought houses in Gorey and commute each day to the capital. As a result, there has been a dramatic increase in the building of new houses in Gorey. Since 1996 the population has risen by over 44% in the town, and by 23% in the surrounding district

With Gorey growing so rapidly this has led to a huge increase in the amount of business and developments in the town. Many new shops have been added in the last few years and Esmonde Street has been developed from a residential street to a mainly shopping street. The town currently plays home to many of the large supermarket chains such as Tesco, Dunne Stores, Lidl, Supervalue and Aldi.

There are currently 4 primary schools feeding the only secondary school in the town. Plans are underway for an additional secondary school as the current one in existance is the largest in ireland and suffers from severe overcrowding due to the huge increase in population.

For visitors, there are very modern high class hotels, with leisure centres, swimming pool and conference facilities. The town has several restaurants, catering for Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai and of course Irish cuisine. Gorey also boasts recreational facilites such as a town park, 2 soccer clubs, various sports clubs, gyms and other associations and organisations.

As for Gorey Business Park’s location, it would be hard to find a region that’s as favourable to do business in, with a large skilled workforce, a wide range of initiatives and support schemes.
